Website changes to the tarantula section

Website changes to the tarantula section are almost complete. I just need to get to grips with it now. I did try yesterday but there were a few problems that needed ironing out and I got very confused. My super website guy is just so patient and calm with me (I don’t know how he does it). I am such a visual person, if I can’t see it, I can’t understand it but I will concentrate today and hopefully learn the basics of what I need to do to work the new system. It is really necessary as since the update to the tarantula section some time ago I have been unable to discount individual spiders and had to resort to setting up a separate “tarantulas special offer page”. The new system will be great once I get my head around it and can work it! I have way too many tarantulas and need to sort them out properly and sell off some stock. It is crazy the amount of time I spend feeding them each week and the amount I spend on crickets. I know I keep going on about it but Spring is in the air. The egg...

Soon to be Spring!

Soon to be Spring! Well it is only a month and the sun is shining this morning (I know it is freezing cold – I had to take Teddi out for a walk earlier). I keep coming into the house and going straight into my bug room to warm up. It is so nice and ‘hot’ in there. I couldn’t write a blog last week as we were at a funeral down in Kent. The bad news just keeps on coming at the moment in my family. Clearly I cannot go into details here but I appreciate everyone’s continued support. I had three lots of visitors to my bug room last Sunday afternoon and it was really pleasant. I enjoyed a good chat with like minded people and showed off my little creatures. When I lived in west London I had quite a few visitors but nowadays it is a rare event and three in one day was like going back in time to my vibrant Saturday afternoon ‘open days’. I did try to organise open afternoons in our current location but spent the afternoon twiddling my thumbs. Half term almost over (isn’t the traffic reduced wh...

No Blog this week, funeral to attend today.

No blog this week, funeral to attend today. Will write a blog next Friday. I have lots to say (as usual) but no time to say it. It's been a busy week, lots of sales so the bug room is looking a little less packed and a bit tidier than of late. My tarantula section of the website is being upgraded and I will once again be able to show special offers on individual spiders without needing the separate "Special Offers Tarantula" page. It will make things simpler for you and for me!

What an eventful time

What an eventful time I have had since writing my last blog. I’m thinking “where should I start”? Last weekend hubby and I went to SEAS (the South of England Arachnid Show). This is always my favourite show of the year, the venue is great and the organisers (the Invicta tarantula club) are a super friendly bunch. It is held in a lovely spa hotel in Kent, as it was my birthday this week we booked a couple of nights in the hotel. Unfortunately, hubby had to work late on the Friday so we didn’t arrive until almost bedtime and then Saturday flew by so I didn’t get to use the spa/gym but we went for dinner with the spider club in the evening and had a great time. We got up and took a leisurely breakfast the next day and then walked into the halls and chatted while everyone set up their tables. I then did what I said I wouldn’t do, I got totally carried away with myself, spent a fortune and have practically doubled my stock. I have been kicking myself ever since but it was fun! Consequently,...
