Thank you

Thank you for all your best wishes and certainly your patience waiting for orders. Assuming nothing else happens I intend to post all orders out on Monday and Tuesday when my husband has a couple of days off and can help me. Just to re-cap for those reading the blog and not knowing what I am on about - last week my back seized up, I was in absolutely agony and stretchered off to hospital as I couldn't get up off the floor. Two days later I managed to severely damage one of my eyes. I think the two are linked though, I was given lots of drugs to ease my back and I assume they dehydrated me so when I took out my contact lenses one of them tore my eye. I am usually so fit and healthy that I am completely floored by all this and have seriously never experienced anything like it. At all times my thoughts have been "how on earth am I going to take care of my animals" and it has and continues to be extremely difficult. I don't want to write a book on this so I am trying to...

Nightmare!

Nightmare! I have often said that my greatest fear is being laid low and unable to care for all my animals. Sadly it became a reality this week but thankfully nowhere near as bad as I imagined at first. I have been having problems for a few months with my back and only recently had an MRI scan, my follow up appointment with the physiotherapist is actually this afternoon. My hubby had to call an ambulance as I couldn't move for the pain. I was given a cocktail of drugs at the hospital and released later that day but I have now been ordered to rest and quite frankly with all the medication I don't feel up to doing much anyway. My back is still really stiff but the pain is very much reduced. I'm told it is 'just' muscle spasm and hopefully I will be fine next week. I intend to resume posting orders on Monday but I am clearly goi...

I'm back (again)

I'm back (again). The cruise was lovely, very relaxing and I do feel lucky to have had two summer holidays this year (thanks to winning the cruise in a competition). This week however has been a bit of a trial and each and every day I have yearned to be away again! The beginning of the month and the beginning of a new school term are always busy so it wasn't the best time to go away. I returned to a huge number of emails and have spent all week trying to catch up. I have posted off the orders received while I was away so I'm pleased with that but personal matters have made it difficult to concentrate. I can't go into details in this blog but among many other things my mother in-law has been ill all week, the car broke down, a dear friend is very ill in hospital. I haven't even managed the time to go to the gym this week, those who know me personally will realise how desperate that is! I just hope next week is a little calmer. The bugs faired really well while I...
