Rush, rush, rush

Rush, rush, rush, I have my nephew's three kids today so I need to get this blog written before they arrive. I had intended to write it really early (as in yesterday) but events overtook me and as is the story of my life, I ran out of time. I am still catching up from being on holiday and have spent a lot of time either on my computer replying to emails or in the bug room feeding and cleaning this week. It is typical that I have been stuck inside while the weather has been hot and sunny and then today when I have the kids and planned to go out and about, it is overcast and rain is forecast. The bugs are doing well but there are a number that require a complete clear out, like some of my large cockroach colonies, beetles in boxes and millipede cages. I have no plans for this weekend and hubby is working so I intend to try and get back on top of things. The paperwork is piling up again. Sun tanned and relaxed

Sun tanned and relaxed, well I'm still quite sun tanned but not so relaxed after several days of trying to catch up on everything! Cyprus was lovely and we had a great time. We hired a car for a few days and went out snake hunting everywhere, it was brilliant fun but way too hot so we actually saw very little despite hours of searching. My hubby is great, bug and snake hunting is not his idea of enjoyment but he said it makes him happy to see me happy (very sweet, few people would use that word to describe my husband). He spotted a huge Giant Whip snake 'galloping' across the road in front of us, honestly I have never seen a snake move so fast. I was out the car before it had stopped but I still couldn't get near the snake for a photo. I thought it had shot under a large rock so I stood poised with the camera but hubby took some convincing to move the rock.
