Spiny Stick Insect (Eurycantha coriacea) Nymph £3.00 £2.00

Common Name: Spiny Stick Insect
Scientific Name: Eurycantha coriacea

Size: Nymph
Status: Captive Bred

Food: Bramble, Oak

A large, stocky, chocolate coloured stick insect. Originates from New Guinea, adult female approximately 12cm long and males 8cm long. These stick insects are fine to handle, the male does not have the large spurs on the back legs as Eurycantha calcarata has!Sizes shown are average length from head to tip of abdomen, including ovipositor, but not antennae.

Stick insects are generally sent as a male and female pair, or single male. If you require a single female please telephone to check availability (unless I have a surplus of females a male will be sent). It is not possible to sex nymphs from all species.

For additional information/photos please do a Google search on the scientific name. Do not limit the search to UK only as most of the best information is in Europe and America.

Search The Web

Google is brilliant for bug information and photos, just search on the scientific name (common names may vary). Don't limit your search to the UK as much of the information comes from the USA and Europe.
